Orange County Real Estate – 2014 comes to a close strongly for Orange County Real Estate

We ended 2014 pretty strong here in Orange County real estate and should expect 2015 to get off to a nice start as the market is highly stable with numerous favorable conditions in it’s favor.

Active Inventory -sharp drop off as the year came to an end

Typical drop as the holiday season wraps up. Expect to start to see this number climb.

Sales Prices – remains in range

Another slight drop off but still within the same range. Typically we see this figure start to move in February.

Months of Inventory - drops with less homes on the market

As the year wrapped and holidays took center stage the number of homes on the market fell while volume rose which reduced the months of inventory.

Volume - unexpected rise

We ended the year well with a nice final month of volume.

Days to Sell – slight rise

Despite strong volume in December the average home spent 81 days on the market last month.

What all this Means to:

Sellers – The year actually ended pretty well for Orange County home sellers. Baring any  unusual economic impact we can expect 2015 to get off to a good start as well.
