In the Orange County real estate market there was no noticeable slowdown in demand as the year winded down. While less homes were listed in November and December there was a lingering strong buyer demand level that has continued into the new year. While demand has remained strong the inventory levels have been low in comparison which makes now a tempting time to put your home on the market.
Let’s use the Aliso Viejo real estate market as an example. There was a low level of new listings coming on in November, December as well as the start of 2015. This low inventory level combined with a strong buyer demand level makes right now a great time to put your home on the market. While buyer demand typically increase to a summertime peak right now demand is high compared to the available inventory allowing sellers to capitalize on favorable conditions before the unpredictable year unfolds and capture the gains from our recent rising price trend.
While nobody can truly predict how the year will unfold, and despite my personal belief that we will have a strong 2015 similiar to what we had in 2014 here in Orange County Real Estate putting your home on the market now will allow you to capture the gains from the current trends and you will be in a less competive enviroment with less listing available while buyer demand remains high.
